  • The image can be interpreted two ways; one, as women standing with hands or their hips, or two, as rams horns. Both symbols represent fertility when it comes to kilim motifs. If the weaver of the kilim has given birth to a boy, she will often use the "hands on hips" symbolism as it denotes a proud mother. If it is to be interpreted as rams horns, it represents fertility, heroism, masculinity and power.
